JOSEPHINE WINNIFRED MORGAN (nee SHAW) Peacefully at her home, May 12, 2000, Josephine joined God in Eternal Peace. She was predeceased by her husband, of forty-nine years, Merl. Josephine is survived by her daughter Margaret (Wally) and son Robert (Chris) grandchildren Miles, Brent and Marla; one older sister Eva Graham of Edmonton, Alberta , twin brother Bill Shaw of Abbotsford, British Columbia and by many nephews and nieces. Josephine was born in Edmonton, Alberta on February 10, 1920. She married Merl, her high school sweetheart in 1945 and they moved to Winnipeg with their young family in 1954. Josephine was a lifetime member of the United Church Women (UCW) and she enjoyed nearly thirty years of bowling at Academy Uptown Lanes. She spent many summers at the family cabin at West Hawk Lake. Josephine was a loving wife, devoted mother and faithful friend. She had the pleasure of celebrating her eightieth birthday this winter, surrounded by her family and dear friends. This day was a testament to how she lived her life, forever gracious and generous in spirit. There will be a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 18 in Westworth United Church, Lanark at Grosvenor, with the Rev. A. Saunders officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined.
